As part of School Education Seminar, we visited Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association to collect information about their initiatives of supporting education for foreign kids and parents in Sendai. We successfully connected one research student in China to allow her to join the interview too:) we learned a lot of initiatives of the city and the civil society which are providing various supports for these foreign kids and parents. We recognized the current initiatives give more focus on how to help these kids and parents when they got problems in schooling. It would be better if they could provide relevant information and consultation in the beginning of their life in Japan so that we could prevent many problems from happening:) let’s work together to solve these problems!
